Every act of conscious learning requires the willingness to suffer an injury to one’s self-esteem. That is why young children, before they are aware of their own self-importance, learn so easily. -Thomas Szasz
A question that I hear often from my students is: “Am I too old to make a change?” Many of them are concerned about making a change at their age and possibly failing. Some of them also think that if they have been doing something for a major part of their life, it will make no difference if they tried to change it now . On the other side of the spectrum, a lot of people out there believe that they are too young to teach and inspire others. Both of these beliefs couldn’t be farther from the truth.
I strongly believe that you are never too old to learn, no matter if you’re in your 30’s, 40’s, 50’s or even 60’s. Neither are you too young to teach others. As you’re going through the process of educating yourself and working towards the amazing goals your set for yourself, remove age from the equation. Tune in to this inspirational episode and find out why age is only a number and not a limiting factor!
